Fabricating an ‘affordable’ silk rug with the help of a woman from India
An article in the Guardian entitled “Fabricating an affordable silk rug” by the wife of a Chinese woman has the internet going wild with comments.
The woman, who was married to a man from India, lives in the US and has an extensive knowledge of the textile industry, the Guardian reports.
According to the article, she made the rug by stitching together the different fabrics from various brands.
It is a perfect example of how the textile is used to create a beautiful home decor piece.
After the fabric was sewn together, the woman started working with the fabric to create the rug.
“I have been using this material for a long time and now that I am living in China, I have decided to start working with it again,” she said.
She added that her husband is a cloth worker and has the same experience.
In India, the wool is made by cutting a strand of the wool into strips, then weaving it together, creating the fabric, and then sewn it together again.
When the fabric is made, the weave is then cut and sewn again to create an even more durable fabric.
For a family of six, that means buying about four bags of the material and a total of 12 pairs of pants, a pair of shoes and a blanket.
