What you need to know about the ‘goodwife’
A goodwife is a woman who has worked in the workplace for a number of years.
The term “goodwife” was coined by a British politician in the early 2000s, and the term has since been adopted by many companies.
It refers to a person who has been with the company for a long period of time, and is therefore able to communicate with others and can offer advice.
Here are the basics of how goodwives work: they have to know what they’re doing, what to do and what not to do, and they are expected to give their opinion and offer their suggestions to managers and employees, even when it isn’t always the most helpful advice.
“The goodwife’s job is to make sure that people feel welcome in their company, they are valued and they can have their say,” said Katie Martin, head of communications at digital and social media company Goodwill.
“It’s about being able to get out and connect with people.
If they don’t feel that then they can go home.”
In fact, according to Goodwill, 90% of goodwills are women.
There is no doubt that goodwives are important.
Goodwills also play a crucial role in ensuring the health of their company’s workforce.
They are crucial in ensuring that employees are healthy, fit and happy, and help prevent burnout, depression and other mental health issues.
They also play an important role in providing support to employees.
“Goodwills make sure everyone is able to take a break from work if they want,” said Martin.
“And if they don’ have enough time they can sit in with staff or help with things, so they are also helpful in other ways.”
Goodwill also help to make certain that the company’s employees feel respected and valued.
“When you’re in a job you can be a bit of a leader, you can show people who’s boss,” said Anna Gildernew, CEO of Goodwill Australia.

If you’re a goodwife you’re going to have that say and you’re able to say it.”
One of the key benefits of being a goodwill is that your role can grow over time.
“People come in and say, ‘Oh my god, I don’t know where to start’, but if you’re the right person and you know what you’re doing and you do it well, then you can grow,” said Gildertew.
“That’s something that really comes with being a great person.”
Goodwill also helps to make the company more sustainable.
“There are many people in the workforce who work on the margins,” said Dr Sarah Rimmer, senior research scientist at the Institute of Advanced Study (IAS) in Melbourne.
“We’re seeing more and more people coming into the workforce and they’re not necessarily paid what they should be, and therefore they’re putting their career on hold and making the decision to go into the workplace.”
The goodwife role can also help companies achieve more sustainable outcomes.
“A goodwife can help the company to make investments in their workforce, to build on the talent that has already come in, and to create better jobs for the people who are already there,” said Rimmer.
“They can help to reduce waste, and save money, and increase efficiency.”
“Goodwives can be an invaluable resource to people who have a range of skills, but want to stay in the same industry,” said Paul Molloy, CEO at Digital Media Group.
“In the workplace, they can help people to communicate better, to be more efficient and to make decisions that are more in line with the needs of the business.”

“Being a Goodwiller has become synonymous with excellence and service,” said Mary McTiernan, CEO and president of the Australian Industry Group.
She added that she would be happy to be referred to as “the Goodwife of the Year” if she could keep the job and stay for another five years.
She said that her job is always in the background, so she is able “to be a great corporate citizen”.
